are currently looking to add a Transportation Coordinator to the
QubicaAMF team at our Mechanicsville location.The Transportation
Coordinator plays a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency of
our shipping department. This position involves direct
collaboration with carriers and the Shipping Manager to ensure the
effective flow of products through the shipping process. The
Transportation Coordinator is responsible for cost-effective
routing and timely dispatch of both domestic and international
shipments. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with
stakeholders and managing outbound shipments to maximize the
efficiency of the shipping dock and loading personnel.Essential
Functions
- Manage routing for TL, LTL, FCL, LCL, and other shipping modes
using TMS software.
- Coordinate exception orders via UPS or international airfreight
forwarders.
- Process and manage carrier documentation, including bills of
lading and related paperwork.
- Handle shipments to US Government installations, including
military bases.
- Prepare and manage weekly shipping schedules for
QubicaAMF.
- Utilize RF devices for packing and preparing items for
shipment.
- Book and schedule container loads with freight forwarders,
estimating container requirements based on product
specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve loading errors.
- Promote and enforce standard operational procedures within the
department, providing leadership and guidance.
- Other duties assigned by management Supervisory

- Forklift experience a must (Sit-down, Stand-up, and Cherry
Picker)Work environmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the
employee regularly works in a warehouse environment where higher
levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. This is a
non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot
in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to
moving parts.Physical DemandsThe employee is frequently required to
stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with
hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up
to 50 pounds. Travel required
- No travel is required.Required education and experience
- High School Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and
experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Familiarity with warehousing procedures preferred.
- Experience with PIT equipment.
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds during an
8-hour shift.
- Experience working in a loud, non-climate-controlled
environment.
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with transportation and freight quoting programs is

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Overtime when necessary
