Job Description:

New Story In-District Services (IDS) partners with local school districts to enhance special education services by providing BCBAs, Teachers, RBTs, and Paraprofessionals within schools. Our mission is to support and empower teachers, case managers, and paraprofessionals, ensuring optimal outcomes for students with various diagnoses. Through targeted support and professional development, we aim to improve the quality of education and contribute to meaningful improvements across the district.The RBT role in Harrisonburg, VA is a fulltime, 10 month position - paid for all school holidays and breaks, including summer.RESPONSIBILITIES - WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Provide direct treatment and interventions to students under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor in a school setting and in a 1:1 or group environment
  • Collect and maintain accurate and timely records, record data, and chart client's progress with high fidelity.
  • Review and implement BCBA feedback on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain compliance with RBT Ethics Code in collaboration with Clinical Supervisors
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with students, families, and colleagues
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students, families, and colleagues
  • Seek personal growth and training opportunities to ensure clinical excellence
  • Maintain accurate and timely records
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and/or FERPA requirements
  • Represent New Story professionally and ethically to internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhere to New Story and school-specific policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - WHAT YOU BRING
    • High School Diploma, required
    • BA/BS Psychology, education, child development, or another related field; preferred
    • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
    • Be in good standing for Insurance Credentialing
    • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse and Neglect, Fingerprinting.
    • Must pass tuberculosis test or provide proof of recent negative test 1 year
    • Must pass by annual First Aid/CPR training
    • Must pass annual MANDT Training
    • Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance
    • Must pass tuberculosis test or provide proof of recent negative test 1 year
